Service Description: The relative mitigation estimate data layer depicts a relative score for the likely amount of compensatory mitigation that would be required to offset development impacts in a particular location. This score reflects three major data layers (also viewable in the tool): Existing Development Impacts, Vegetation Condition (based on Ecological States), and Management Designations. The data layer is scaled from 0-100 across the range of sage-grouse in Oregon. Low scores occur in areas with limited habitat function, and require little or no compensatory mitigation. High scores occur in areas with good ecological condition, low existing development impacts, and high management importance, where the compensatory mitigation obligation is likely to be high.
